Sixty-two members attended our May 24 Annual Meeting at the Laurelhurst Club. It was a sparkling success.

Our meeting included time for dinner, socializing, honoring our new members, 50-year members, and volunteers, and fun(d)raising. We also held a business meeting to amend our Bylaws, adopt a budget, update our school funding position, adopt a new housing position, and elect new leadership. Members donated a total of $12,360 to support our 2023-24 budget.

We celebrated two Volunteers of the Year for their outstanding service in 2022-23.

The Board honored Nominating Committee Chair Ann Dudley  for her work in recruiting many new board members for the 2023-24 Board.

 

 

 

Janice Thompson was honored for her work to pass charter reform for the City of Portland and for organizing and co-chairing the Charter Implementation Committee.

 

 

 

The membership voted to:

• • • • pass amendments to our Bylaws and Endowment Fund Guidelines
      • Adopt a new Housing and Homelessness position concurrence, and a School Funding position update.
      • Approve our 2023-24 budget totaling $138,056 for our educational and voter services, advocacy, operations, and member services.

Outgoing President Debbie Kaye received a beautiful vase of flowers from the 2022-23 Board, while incoming President Carolyn Buppert took her place at the podium.

Debbie Kaye will become the next Nominating Committee Chair.
