Anyone age 16 and over is eligible to join the League. We encourage men, as well as women, to become members.
Membership Dues- 2018-19
You can join or renew your membership via PayPal or credit card by clicking the “Pay Now” button below. The basic membership dues for 2018-19 are $78 for an individual and $117 for a two-person household. Half of all membership dues are tax-deductible. That is, $39 of each individual’s dues and $58.50 of each two-person household’s dues are deposited in the Education Fund and will be tax-deductible if you itemize charitable contributions.
(Note: the amount shown by PayPal includes a ~3% fee that is added by PayPal.)
If you prefer, you can avoid the PayPal fee by mailing a check in with your membership form. You should receive a membership form in the mail with a renewal letter in the early summer.

We invite YOU to volunteer to help with our projects, both large and small! Check the activities that interest you on the printed Membership Form, or fill out our online Volunteer Interest Form. You will have the opportunity to sharpen your skills in leadership, communications, research, public speaking and more.
The League of Women Voters of Portland relies on donations from people like you to fund our voter education and advocacy activities. Your gift will extend our volunteers’ efforts to empower citizens, inform voters, and make democracy work. If you are already a member of the League–thank you!–but know that the bulk of your membership dues go to the state and national leagues, whereas your donation will stay here in Portland.

Together, we can be a force for change. Members receive a monthly newsletter, a Voter’s Guide before every election, invitations to events with leaders in the Portland community, and the chance to meet with other members to discuss what’s going on in Portland.
