LWV joins Senators and Secretaries against SAVE

Last week, leaders from your Portland League were honored to join Senator Ron Wyden at his press conference about why we oppose the heinous SAVE Act sitting in the Senate right now. LWVPDX Comments on “Right to Know Who is Policing You” Proposed Ordinance to Portland Community and Public Safety Committee

We supported the proposed “Right to Know Who is Policing You” ordinance prohibiting facial coverings on law enforcement officers and requiring visible I.D. The Portland Community and Public Safety Committee considered a proposed ordinance that would prohibit law enforcement from local, state, and federal agencies from wearing masks and require display of visible identification.
