About
Portland League members are invited to attend the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting: Unite & Rise Portland on May 19. We chose this theme to show unity with our national (LWVUS) and state (LWVOR) organizations, and our commitment to local community and each other. We will socialize, hear some highlights from the past year, recognize retiring board members, Life Members, and the volunteer(s) of the year.
Annual Membership Meetings are an important opportunity for members to have a say in the League’s leadership and direction for the coming year. It’s also an excellent time to meet other members and connect with old friends. This year’s Annual Membership Meeting is on Tuesday, May 19 from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. at The Laurelhurst Club. All members are welcome, and there will be an orientation for new members at 4:00 p.m. The program will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Registration
Registration is required to attend. This year’s buffet is catered by Hoda’s Lebanese Restaurant and Catering, Authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine. Gluten-free and vegetarian options included. There is an option to attend without the meal. The registration deadline is May 12.
Payment options
Tickets are $35/person or free for members not eating with us. You can pay in one of the following ways:
- Mail a check made out to LWVPDX to PO Box 3491, Portland, OR 97208
- Pay online (payment link provided upon registration)
- Pay at the door by cash, card, or check
Business items
These are the business items that require a vote at the meeting:
- 2026-2027 Revenue Budget
- 2026-2027 Expense Budget
- Nominations for 2026-2028 Board and Off-Board Leaders
- Proposed 2026-2027 Program
- Bylaw Amendments
Additional business items may be added with Board approval. Members will receive a copy of all required business items on April 17. This section will be updated at that time.
Location
The Laurelhurst Club is located at 3721 SE Ankeny St, Portland, OR 97214. The building is one block south of East Burnside Street and ½ block west of SE 39th Ave/Cesar Chavez Blvd, directly across the street from Laurelhurst Park. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Bus lines include the 20 Burnside/Stark and the 75 Cesar Chavez/Lombard.
