We are committed to encouraging all citizens to be informed and engaged voters and to protecting voting rights.
Using our advocacy positions, developed through detailed study of local issues, we advocate in support or opposition to proposed ballot measures and city policies.
LWVPDX presents free community education programs and resources for both our members and the public.
The League of Women Voters of Portland (LWVPDX) is a volunteer grassroots political organization that seeks to make democracy work. We empower voters and defend democracy by giving everyone the tools and information they need to vote and to advocate for what they want.
LWVPDX is part of the LWV of Oregon and the LWV of the United States. Members may participate at all three levels. The League is nonpartisan: we neither support nor oppose any candidate or political party. We welcome all people to join us.
