A Musical Get-Out-the-Vote

The League is helping to “rock the vote” at a community music concert on Wednesday, September 18. Artichoke Community Music will host “The Hanging Chads” – five experienced folk-rockers – for a get-out-the-vote concert at their venue, 2007 SE Powell Blvd in Portland, from 7 to 9 pm (doors at 6:30). LWVPDX Makes the News

Even local news channel KATU is looking to the League to help understand the historic election season we are in. With the city shifting to ranked-choice voting (RCV) for the first time this fall, your League is educating voters every chance we get.  Toward that end, two of our volunteers educated the broadest population yet on a KATU News segment on August 18 on the Your Voice, Your Vote segment.
