Our November 20 Panel is Open to the Public

LWV of Portland’s November Community Education program, “2024 Election Reflection: Learning and Moving Forward,” will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 7 to 8:30 pm via Zoom.

This fall, Portland is facing big changes. Our election system is shifting to ranked-choice voting for the first time. In January, a new form of city government will be in place. And that’s not to mention the huge election happening at the national level!

As the ballots are counted and the impacts of this election set in, our panel will help offer perspective, learning, and hope on the other side.

  • How did we do in our city’s first ranked-choice election?
  • What do we expect from this first crop of city officials taking office in the new form of government?
  • What will statewide votes mean for the future of ballot measures?
  • What local impacts will we see from the national election results?
