Action opportunity: Submit testimony online

Senate Bill 210 seeks to make in-person voting on Election Day the standard method for conducting elections in Oregon. It would also limit vote-by-mail options, imposing stringent identification requirements. This move would undermine the accessibility and inclusivity that have been the hallmarks of Oregon’s electoral system for decades. Oregon has been a leader in implementing a universal vote-by-mail system, which has significantly increased voter participation and streamlined the electoral process.

LWVPDX has supported vote-by-mail since its inception. Many members spent hours circulating initiative petitions to put it on the ballot in the late 1990s.

Please take a few minutes this weekend to submit written testimony IN OPPOSITION to SB 210. Remember, you are writing as an individual, not representing the League.
