Come march with the League on Saturday, June 8!
It will be fun to walk the 2-mile route together.
Our participation will provide an exciting visual element for the parade’s viewers. It is also a meaningful recognition of important milestones for our our state, county and city. With all the important issues in the 2024 general election, the public will have a heightened appreciation for celebrating the League and the work we are doing.
How to sign up

- Complete a registration form by clicking here. When you click “submit,” you will be registered. A copy of your completed form will be emailed to you. A few days before the parade, we will email or call you about where and when to meet and other details about the parade.
- IMPORTANT: Each participant must also download and fill out a waiver, which you can access by clicking here. (The waiver states that you have read the parade rules and will hold the parade sponsors and organizers harmless for any injury or loss you might suffer during the parade.) After you download the waiver, please print it, fill it out and mail it to LWV of Portland, PO Box 3491, Portland OR 97208-3491. Or photograph it and email it as an attachment to info@lwvpdx.org by noon on June 5. Or you can bring it with you on June 8.
We will be a “marching entry” behind a large League banner, and with flags, sashes, and many signs (e.g. “Votes for Women” or “LWV,” but no political signs). If you need one of these emblems, we can provide some signs, sashes, and flags for you. Bring your family members and friends. Anyone who is 14 or older can march with us. (No pets.)
How to dress
Please wear the suffrage colors, purple, gold and white, which the League now uses as our signature colors. Remember to also wear comfortable walking shoes.
