Members have the option to participate in a “Discussion Unit.”
Discussion Units are small group meetings that enable you to:

- Discuss our Community Education programs and other current issues.
- Learn about local and state ballot measures.
- Guide League policy and action through consensus discussions of local and state LWV Studies.
- Visit with new and old friends in small group monthly meetings.
Usual days and times for Discussion Unit meetings:
- Unit 2: 4th Monday of the month from 10 am to 12 pm. (Hybrid, in-person in SE Portland + Zoom)
- Unit 3: 4th Monday of the month from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. (Zoom only)
- Unit 4: 3rd Thursday of the month from 1 to 3 pm. (In-person, NE Portland)
- Unit 5: 4th Saturday of the month from 10:30 am to 12 pm. (In-person, SW Portland)
- Unit 6: 4th Wednesday of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 am. (Hybrid, in-person in Downtown Portland + Zoom)
- Unit 7: 3rd Monday of the month from 12 to 2 pm. (Zoom only
If you are thinking about participating in a Discussion Unit and would like to learn more, please contact the Unit Coordinator at units@lwvpdx.org. The Discussion Unit leader will then add you to the list of participants and contact you before each meeting.
