Local Convention

ALL League of Women Voters of Portland members are invited to our Local Convention. Register by clicking here.

Wednesday, May 9, 5:15 to 9:00 PM (Reservations by noon May 1)

The Great Hall, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1624 NE Hancock St, Portland

This is our annual membership business meeting. The League of Women Voters of Portland Local Convention is your opportunity to help decide on our budget, activities and leadership for 2018-19. Plus it’s fun to reflect on the year’s accomplishments and plan for next year!

AND there’s much more than business! You also can enjoy a delicious Mediterranean buffet dinner and conversation with other members–see the menu below.  Our speaker will be Sue Hildick,  founder and leader of the Chalkboard Project and a woman with impressive breadth and depth of knowledge and community experience.

Dinner reservations (or cancellations) are due to the office no later noon on May 1st. The cost for dinner, the convention workbook, the meeting and Sue’s talk is $35.

Reserve your place soon by calling or emailing the office: 503-228-1675, or info@lwvpdx.org. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs when you make your reservation.

We encourage you to avoid the line by paying in advance. Register and pay online by clicking here. Or please mail a check to PO Box 3491, Portland OR 97208-3491.

If you come only for Sue’s talk and the meeting, but not for dinner, please consider a suggested donation of $10 to help cover the room rental and other expenses that exceed the cost of the buffet. Please register, even if you cannot come for the dinner, so we can reserve a seat and a workbook for you.
