Russian Leaders' Visit to Portland to be Posted on League Website
October 10 through 18
The League of Women Voters of Portland will be hosting a delegation of five Russian government officials from October 10-18. Pictures and daily reports of their activities during their stay in Portland will be posted on the Leageu's website.
The League of Women Voters of Portland will be hosting a delegation of five Russian government officials from October 10 through 18. The delegates work with housing administration and communal services in the municipalities of Russia. The goal of their visit is to learn about accountable governance.
Pictures and daily reports of the Russian delegates’ activities during their stay in Portland will be posted on the League’s website at www.lwvpdx.org. Highlights will include a tour of the city by public transit; visits with US Representative Earl Blumenauer’s office, various departments of the City Of Portland, Portland City Council, Multnomah County Elections Division and Metro; and tours of Station Place Tower housing project and the University of Oregon White Stag building.
The exchange is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the United States through the Open World Leadership Center, a program within the National Library of Congress.
