Tax expenditures include tax: deductions, inclusions, subtractions, exemptions, deferrals, preferential rates, and credits. In its search for revenue, the Oregon Legislature is examining 33 Tax Expenditures scheduled to sunset in the next biennium. Can the Legislature craft a system for dealing with the 360 tax expenditures in the Oregon tax code and therebye improve our tax system? For more information review the the Governor's Tax Expenditure Report at: www.oregon.gov./DOR/STATS.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The event will be broadcast on local access cable television. It will also be available on www.lwvpdx.org.
