Candidates for four positions on the Portland Public School board will appear on Thursday, April 26, at 7 P.M. in the Board Room of the Blanchard Education Service Center.

Portland's School Board Candidate Forum
Public Invited, April 26th
Candidates for four positions on the Portland Public School board will appear on Tuesday, April 26, at 7 P.M. in the Board Room of the Blanchard Education Service Center, 501 N. Dixon Street, Portland, in a forum presented by the Education Fund of the League of Women Voters of Portland and Community and Parents for Public Schools. The forum is free, and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.
All candidates for Portland Public School board positions from Zones 1, 2, 3, and 7 have been invited to participate. The candidates will discuss their qualifications for office and respond to questions about current issues.
Portland Public Schools Education Media Services will air the forum live on Comcast Cable channel 28 and will also provide live streaming at: http://www.pps.k12.or.us/departments/tv-services/2493.htm.
A schedule for later replays of the forum on Comcast Cable channel 28 will be posted on the League’s web site (www.lwvpdx.org).
Election day is May 17, 2011. Ballots will be mailed to voters beginning on April 29, 2011.
Completed ballots must be received at an official drop-off site by 8 p.m. on May 17, 2011.
