League of Women Voters Presents Forum on Ballot Measures 66 & 67
Speakers in support of and in opposition to Ballot Measures 66 and 67 will appear in a forum moderated by the League of Women Voters of Portland on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the Board Room of the Multnomah Building, 501 S.E. Hawthorne, Portland. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

Speakers in support of and in opposition to Ballot Measures 66 and 67 will appear in a forum moderated by the League of Women Voters of Portland on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the Board Room of the Multnomah Building, 501 S.E. Hawthorne, Portland. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.
Measures 66 and 67 are referenda on two bills passed by the 2009 Legislature amending corporate and individual income tax rates. The measures are on the ballot as a result of citizen petitions.
Steve Novick of Defend Oregon will speak in favor of the measures and Bernie Bottomly will speak against the measures. Mr. Bottomly is Vice President for Government Relations and Economic Development of the Portland Business Alliance. Following a short presentation by each speaker, the moderator will ask questions submitted by audience members.
Portland Community Media will broadcast the forum live on Channel 30. Repeat broadcasts will be aired on Channel 30 on Friday, January 8 at 9:30 p.m.; Tuesday, January 19 at 5:30 p.m.; and Sunday, January 24 at 2:30 p.m.

Election Day is January 26. Ballots will be mailed to voters beginning January 8. Completed ballots must be received at an official drop-off site by 8 p.m. on January 26.
