Elected Officials Invitational Coffee

When: Saturday, February 12, 9:30 – 11:00 AM.
Where: Metro Council Chambers, 600 NE Grand Ave., Portland.
What: Coffee and light refreshment will be provided.
Who: The Public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Portland would like to invite Portland's
citizens to a coffee to meet with our newly elected officials and celebrate our
democratic elections process.
Metro President, Tom Hughes, will make opening remarks welcoming everyone to
the Offices of Metro. Newly-elected officials will be introduced and have the
opportunity to speak briefly. A reception will follow.
The LWV of Portland and East Multnomah County are launching their 2011-13 paper
version of the Directory of Elected Officials, Multnomah County Edition, that will be
available at this event. The Directory contains contact information for local, regional,
state, and national officials. A purpose of the Directory is to help citizens
communicate and inform their elected officials about current issues.
This Directory will also be on-line at: lwvpdx.org, or it may be requested by leaving a
message at info@lwvpdx.org
