The League of Women Voters of Portland and community partners present a forum for candidates for the Portland School Board. All candidates for each office have been invited to participate. The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of Portland.

Candidates for Portland School Board to Appear at League of Women Voters Forum April 16

The League of Women Voters of Portland and community partners present a forum for candidates for the Portland School Board.  All candidates for each office have been invited to participate. The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of Portland.

Portland School Board Forum
Participating School Board candidates include: Zone 4 Steve Buel, Martin Gonzalez, and Rita Moore; Zone 5 Scott Bailey and Pam Knowles; and Zone 6 Trudy Sargent, incumbent. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

Date and Time: Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m.
Place: Blanchard Building (Board Room)
501 N. Dixon, Portland, Oregon. 

Portland Public Schools will broadcast the forum live on Channel 28 at 7 p.m. 

Community Partners participating with the League include the Portland School District, the Portland Schools Foundation, the Portland Council PTA, and Community & Parents for Public Schools of Portland.

Reminder: Vote by May 19
Election Day is May 19, 2009.  Completed ballots must be received at an official drop-off site by 8 p.m. on May 19, 2009.
