Beach Trip

On Sunday, David and Marne Lonsdale guided the group to the Oregon coast, stopping first at the Tillamook Forest Center on Highway 6.  Acting Director Chris Friend gave the group a personal tour, and they stopped for a picture with Smokey the Bear.

We walked on the sandy beach and explored the tide pools at Cape Kiwanda.  Aleksndr stripped to his swimming suit and dove into the Pacific waters.  He said it wasn't too cold.

A stop at Cape Meares Scenic View Point included information on whale migration and the lore of the Sitka Spruce Octopus Tree.

They were a good listening group and also asked questions.
