November General Meeting: Oregon's Food Story From Farm to Many Tables

FarmAgriculture accounts for 12% of the state’s economic activity, and 11% of the state’s employment. Oregon is a family farm state, less than 2% of Oregon farms are non-family corporate entities. Portland and Oregon are home to nationally recognized programs to diversify food distribution and expand opportunities for farming and eating in a sustainable way.

The League of Women Voters brought these two strands of Oregon’s Food Story together on Tuesday, November 8. A distinguished panel of agriculture experts addressed League members and the general public.
