County Commissioner and former state legislator Deborah Kafoury and her mother, former City Commissioner and state legislator, Gretchen Kafoury, will join us for dinner and a discussion on Affordable Housing. Deborah is spending many days in Salem contacting legislators trying to obtain funding for affordable housing in Multnomah County. Gretchen worked hard on affordable housing for all Portland residents in both the legislature and while on City Council. She also spent hours behind the scenes making sure Turning Point, a transitional housing project in Hillsdale, would be built and be acceptable to the neighbors.
