Our February speakers will review enforcement practices of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service Secure Communities program and discuss the impact of current immigration regulations and policies on the community and businesses in the region.
Speakers:
Stephen Manning, Partner in the Immigrant Law Group PC in Portland. Manning is a leader nationwide on immigration litigation, enforcement policies and practices.
Professor Keith Cunningham-Parmeter, Willamette University Law School. Cunningham-Parmeter will provide the context for the discussion, reviewing the recent history of immigration and its role in the development of our country.
John Coulter, General Manager/Sales Manager of Fisher Farms, a leading nursery company in Oregon, operating for 30 years. Coulter will discuss Fisher Farms experiences with the immigrant work force and the impact of immigraiton policies on his company.
