Keynote Speaker: Caitlin Baggott, Executive Director, The Bus Project – “It’s Still About Relationships”
At this event we will:
- Acknowledge our 2010 and 2011 volunteers and donors.
- Learn about current trends that influence civic engagement among young people.
- Tour the EMSWCD headquarters, a repurposed historic building that demonstrates the adaptive reuse of existing infrastructure and features a variety of water-saving facilities including a composting restroom.
- Learn about EMSWCD, a unit of local government serving Multnomah County east of the Willamette River and led by an elected board of five directors (who serve without pay for four-year terms) and several associate directors. This organization’s work is geared toward keeping water clean, conserving water, and keeping soil healthy.
